After Care Enrichment
After Care Enrichment is offered Monday through Friday, after school. Our program themes change each trimester, keeping our program fresh and fun! Previous themes include Creation, Cooking Class, Field Games, Yoga, Garden Club, Puzzles and Board Games, and Free Choice. We also give our intermediate students time to work on homework.
This year at Levey our Garden Club has taken initiative in the research, planning and organization of a student cared for Garden. We are very excited to begin growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs. The fruits of the student's labor will be utilized in our cooking class!
Creation Class is focused on all things that embrace the imagination. From art projects, to theatre and beyond. We try to select projects based on student interests, such as making Poke-balls for our Pokemon fans! We also make
seasonal projects, that require students to observe the world around them and how it changes.
Our Cooking Class has learned how to make quick and healthy snacks, homemade sides, dressings, meals, and desserts. We use kosher ingredients and everything we make is vegetarian. Students learn proper kitchen etiquette and kitchen saftey, as well as how to make meal time fun! We like making our food as visually pleasing as it is tasty!
Our Fitness Classes are focused on team building, exercise and fun! Field Games are outdoors and the games we choose are for all ages. Yoga Classes in After Care are meant to be fun and mentally stimulating, covering everything from mindful meditation to yoga games!
In Puzzles and Board Games, we play, imagine and create games! The students have enjoyed playing a variety of board games, and creating their own in small groups or individually. Our final project is creating a life size board game as a group!
Monday through Thursdays: 3:15-5:30 pm.
