Mazel Tov! Welcoming New Leaders at Levey Day School

Dear Levey Day School Community,

We are proud to announce the appointment of Trina Carroll as Head of School. A deeply committed member of the Levey community, Trina is the parent of four children, three of whom have attended Levey and one who is currently a student. She brings both personal and professional dedication to this role and is currently completing her Doctorate in Education and holds a Master's Degree in Psychology with a focus in Childhood and Adolescent Development. Trina is guided by a belief that education should nurture not only academic growth, but also spiritual connection—helping each child develop a strong sense of identity and learn how to carry their relationship with God throughout their lives.

Trina has begun expanding student opportunities with the launch of an aftercare program expansion and merger with the Art Camp as well as a musical theater program, all set to begin in September 2026.

We also enthusiastically announce that Megan Cornwall has been appointed President of the Board of Trustees. Megan has served with distinction on the board for the past three years and is a proud Levey parent, with all three of her children part of our school community, including her youngest who will begin preschool this fall. Professionally, Megan serves as Senior Associate Director of Enrollment & Outreach of Admission at Thornton Academy, where she brings extensive experience in enrollment strategy, family engagement, and community building. Her professional expertise, combined with her deep commitment to Levey, will be an invaluable asset as she steps into this leadership role.

Together, Trina and Megan share a bold and inspiring vision for Levey Day School’s future. They see the school thriving, with significant growth and the potential to double in size while deepening its impact on students and families. We are confident that their leadership will strengthen our mission and guide our community forward with purpose, warmth, and continued growth.

Looking ahead, we are also excited to invite our community to a special upcoming event on November 12th, hosted in partnership with the Maine Jewish Museum. This program will explore both Wabanaki and Jewish peoplehood through art, storytelling, song, and prayer, offering a meaningful opportunity for learning and connection. We hope you will join us for this free community event. The link to RSVP is below.

Please join us in congratulating both Trina and Megan on their new roles by showing your support to the Debbie Kanter Scholarship Fund.
