Music and Performing Arts

All of the Arts, including Music and the Performing Arts, are an essential component of a well-rounded education, giving expression and expansion to concepts and ideas, and also providing joy and creative experiences for children.

The school provides weekly classes in music and integrates all of the arts, including drama and singing, into all aspects of its curriculum.  Jewish history and culture is taught mainly through dramatic play in the early grades, and continues with the students learning and performing, and sometimes writing scripts which are later performed for peers.

Music education spans a wide range of topics and activities, including rhythm, music theory, and music history.  Students learn to play basic instruments such as recorders, drums, and ukuleles. Song is pervasive, both in our music and Hebrew classes and throughout the school program.
